Aronson Antiquairs is now in its fifth generation. Robert Aronson runs this prestigious gallery on the Nieuwe Spiegelstraat which was founded in 1881.

In the gallery you will find some of the earliest objects made by the Delft factories in the 17th century, and a superb collection of polychrome animals, figures, plaques and chargers from the 18th century.

Also to be found [...is] Continental furniture from both the 17th and 18th century. Treat yourself to a visit to Aronson Antiquairs whenever you are in Amsterdam.”

“A passion for Dutch Delftware, and 128 years of expertise

Aronson, the fifth-generation owner of the company, inherited his passion for his profession from his father but has given this old business a modern twist rarely seen in the antique business, with e-commerce (customers can buy objects directly from the gallery’s Web site); high-tech digital design, layout and printing of catalogues; and an environmentally conscious art-fair stand with LED lighting that drastically reduces electricity consumption.

“In case anyone still thinks of antique dealers as being quaint and old-fashioned, that image will be quickly dispelled by an encounter with Robert Aronson ... nothing old-fashioned about him, except perhaps his courtly manners.”

The webshop with 17th and 18th century Dutch Delftware

Over the past several years we have noticed that there is a growing interest in
selecting fine antiques over the internet. Especially since we have such a large and varied stock, but tend to bring less of the reasonably priced object to the antiques shows, we decided to open an online extension of our gallery.

For the online shop, the same high standards apply as for our existing gallery. None of the objects you will find online were bought with an e-commerce website in mind; they are all part of the same inventory, only priced at the lower range of what we have to offer. Several online objects have even been illustrated in our publications.

Browse the webshop at shop.aronson.com and feel confident that you are looking at first class Dutch antique ceramics.
